Soundslide - Capitol Steps at CUA

My photo and audio flash project that tells the story of the Capitol Step performance at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Photos With Audio from Cardinal Stafford's Lecture

This story, about Cardinal Stafford calling President-elect Barack Obama's policies "aggressive, disruptive and apocalyptic" has been getting a lot of play online, and I took photos at the event and we had audio of the speech so I wiped them together for a video that now has 4,193 views on YouTube. Not too shabby.

Used the Ken Burns effect, but the photos are kind of similar and boring. Had I know the story was going to go viral, I probably would have shot more interesting photos. The audio really says a lot more than the photos could.

Capitol Steps Perform at CUA: Undercooked Feed

Embedded is not quite my raw feed but it is my favorites of the photos I took before, during and after the Capitol Steps performance at CUA on Nov. 17. My final assignment will include an audio track and photos to tell the story of the event from beginning to end.

Election Night in DC -

Alright, so these photos weren't exactly taken with an SLR, more like stills from a Flip Video Camera, but I thought they came out well for internet use nonetheless.

Students packed Caldwell Auditorium last night for the first “CUA on Tap” of the year, which featured a nun and priest comedy duo and several musical performances.

Sister Clare Hunter and Rev. Richard Mullins, who billed their talk as “A Nun and a Priest Walk into a Bar,” weaved messages about Catholic issues like social justice, pro-life advocacy and abstinence into their talk. (Full Story)
